Split testing also known as A/B testing is a wonderful method for figuring out the best online promotional and marketing strategies for your business. It can be used to test everything from website copy, display banner copy to email newsletters, even to search ads.

Here’s the difference between the two primary uses:

1. A/B testing for’s used to optimize different ad campaigns until the highest-converting variation is identified and implemented.

2. A/B testing for validation.This involves split testing to determine which ad variation will be best before the campaign is even rolled out.

When it comes to any paid advertising campaign, A/B testing needs to be the brain behind the entire campaign. Not only is it a good idea to use split testing to optimize an ongoing campaign, but you should also use it to validate the initial campaign!
